When you fly a flag on a winch based internal halyard flagpole, it is necessary to have a flag arranger. Why, you might ask? It is impossible to attach a snap hook to a stainless steel cable. The snap hook attached the flag to the rope on a flagpole. In order to attach a flag to the cable, you need a flag arranger. A flag arranger is a strand of cable the exact height of the flag you would like to fly. For instance, if you fly a 5’x8’ US flag, a 5’ flag arranger is needed. We offer flag arrangers as small as 2’ all the way up to 30’ for a 30’x60’ flag. When flying two flags, two flag arrangers are necessary.
What Material is a Flag Arranger?
A flag arranger is constructed with ⅛” stainless steel cable with a stainless steel thimble attached at each end and two copper crimps. The flag arranger is then attached to the cable assembly (the stainless steel cable that begins at the winch all the way through the truck to lower and raise the flags) with a quick link.
If you want to fly a different size flag or add a second flag to your cable-based internal halyard flagpole, the installation of the flag arranger is very simple and the person installing the new flag could simply install the flag arranger when hanging the new flags.
