The RePatirot American Flag is a brand of fabric that is 100% manufactured in the USA utilizing yarn that is NOT made from imported oil by-products. RePatirot fabric holds its colors longer than traditional nylon flags. This fabric has the look of nylon with the strength of two-ply polyester. 

How does a plastic bottle turn into an American flag?

• Recycled bottles are collected, washed, and ground into small flakes.
• The waste flake is melted and reformulated into high-quality REPREVE resin. 
• The resin is melted into liquid polymer and extruded to form fiber. 
• The fiber is spun and air-jet textured into yarn. 
• The REPREVE yarn is what makes up the fabric to make RePatirot American Flags. 
• The yarn is woven into fabric.
• The fabric is dyed Red, White, and Blue and manufactured into an American flag!

It is important to point out that this entire process occurs here in the USA! It is an FMAA certified American flag.  

The main difference in REPREVE yarn and nylon is that nylon uses polyamides, made from reacting carbon-based chemicals found in coal and petroleum in a high-pressure, heated environment. 

How many bottles does it take to make a flag?
