Ordering a custom flag is an exciting process, but we know it can also come with a lot of questions. Especially if it is your first time purchasing one. From artwork requirements to production timelines, here are some of the most common questions we receive about custom flags and the answers that help customers through the process.

Can I Get My Custom Flag Tomorrow?

This is by far one of the most common questions we hear.

While we understand the urgency behind many projects and events, custom flags are not an overnight product. Every custom flag is made specifically for your order, which means there is a production process involved. Artwork must be reviewed, proofs created and approved, materials prepared, and the flag printed, steamed, hemmed, header and grommets added, then packaged before it ships.

In most cases, standard production times are about 2 weeks after artwork approval, depending on the type of flag, quantity, and current production schedule. Rush options may occasionally be available, but truly next-day custom flags are rarely realistic, especially for high-quality printed products.

If you have a deadline, the best thing you can do is contact us early. The sooner we know your timeline, the more options we can provide.

What File Type Do You Need?

Vector artwork is always preferred for the best print quality. Common vector file types include .AI, .EPS, and .SVG files. High-resolution PDFs can also work in some cases.

If you only have a JPG or PNG logo, do not panic. We can often help recreate or clean up artwork for printing.

What Size Flag Should I Order?

The size of your flag usually depends on where or how it will be displayed. For residential poles, a 3’x5’ flag is the most common size if it is the only flag flying. If you want to fly your custom flag underneath the American flag, we suggest sizing down 1 or 2 sizes, depending on the size of the flagpole. Larger commercial poles typically require larger flags to maintain proper proportions.

If you are unsure, we are always happy to make recommendations based on your flagpole height or display location.

How Long Will My Flag Last?

Flag lifespan depends on several factors including material, weather, and how often the flag is flown. Areas with strong wind and constant sun exposure will naturally wear flags faster. Flags will wear out, if you know you need more than one flag a year we would suggest order flags in bulk. We have price discounts at 3, 6, 12, 25 and higher.

Can You Match Specific Colors?

Yes. In many cases we can match PMS colors to help maintain brand consistency. Keep in mind that colors may appear slightly different on fabric than they do on a computer screen.

Custom flags are a great way to promote a business, celebrate an event, or show pride in your organization. Asking questions before ordering helps ensure you get the right product for your needs. And we are always happy to help guide you through the process.
